Earth seen from the Orion spacecraft during the Artemis II lunar mission
Earth from Orion, Artemis II. NASA.

I'm a product and digital experience leader in Toronto. For twenty years I've led small, high-performing teams, and for just as long I've been taking notes about what actually works: with teams, with people, with myself.

For most of those years the notes stayed in my phone. I kept waiting until I felt ready. What finally got me writing wasn't readiness. It was realizing who the writing is for: anyone it might help, wherever they are on their own road. Useful is enough.

Most of what's worth sharing here, I didn't figure out alone. I learned it with the teams I've been part of and the people I've been lucky to mentor, watching them take an idea, make it fit their own situation, and hand it back better. That two-way trade is my favorite way to learn, and this site is built for more of it.

So that's what you'll find here, one essay at a time. Leading small teams. Understanding your own temperament. The stage fright I've spent my life working through, and the passion it turned into: helping people show up better, human to human. My lifelong tinkering with technology that can help unlock what people are capable of.

The photographs are from my travels over the years. Some of those twenty years of notes started on the same trips.

Away from the work, family comes first for me. Everything else can come after.

If something here is useful, take it. Change it to fit your situation. And if you're up for it, tell me what you changed. Helping each other become more than we thought possible is the whole point of this place. I'd love to hear from you.
